i don't understand why dont people just go and take it for parts…they just leave it there i mean the engine and other stuff exposed..
We have a boat landing with many camps that leave their boat and motors at their camp when they are not there.. There is from 3-5 boat motors stolen every year from the camps. I can only assume that this would be the norm all over the states, due to the drug problems in the nation.

This is a prototype test video for our new SS230 bow thruster. Testing was conducted on a 26′ Bayliner. For pictures and specifications please visit www.sideshift.com.
Testing was conducted in very cold water and against a strong wind. The objective was to test durability and performance. Please note that because of the strong wind the sound quality is not that great.
This video is divided into two parts. Part one shows what the new thruster looks like when the boat is on plane. Part one also shows the water line when the boat is moving slowing. Part two shows close up angles and performance testing of the new thruster.
Should you have questions or wish to see more information about SIDESHIFT bow and stern thrusters please visit www.sideshift.com or call 877-325-4787.

I live on an island which is visited by cruise ships, so it seems illogical to fly elsewhere to get on the boat that's then going to come back to where I live! I understand that there are certain embarkation points, etc., but can I just do 'part' of it!? Likewise, if I got on elsewhere, it would seem plain daft to dock where I live a day or two before I'm due to fly home again! Can I just finish the cruise at that point?! I'm sorry if this is a silly question - I just have NO idea where cruises are concerned! Thanks for your help.
Some cruise lines will allow you to get on or off the ship at ports other than the departure and return port. BUT you must make those arrangement ahead of time, especially for getting on ship. The last cruise that we did on a RC ship there were about two dozen passengers who boarded at the first stop that we made after the departure. But I believe that they missed the ship's departure due to a late airline connection.

So, this has nothing to do with brawl, but whatever. A rather large storm ripped through my families cabin up north. A bunch of trees fell down, and my grandfathers pontoon boat flipped up over onto of our speed boat. It took us 5 about 5 hours to flip it up right.
There is actually only about 40 seconds of the boat actually flipping over. The parts that were missed included removing the other boat, cutting a few metal pipes that impaled the boat and slowly sliding it across the dock to so it could be flipped.

hi im wondering if i am able to start my boat during the lakedrawdown this winter. the boat is a pontoon sittin on boards on my dock, water level only dropped 3 feet this year so motor is part way in the water. well i started it and water comes peeing out the back so does it mean the water cool feature is working on the motor and i shouldnt worry about starting it and letting it warm up ?? thanks all
all outboards or well any outboard your likely to have strapped to a pontoon boat, has a water pick up in the lower leg. look down your leg, towards the prop, and you will see a grate, grille, series of holes, on both sides of the leg. mariner has a removable grill that covers the intake. as long as that is below water level your cooling system will run at normal operation. if this intake is above or only partially submerged, your cooling system will be inefective and the engine should NOT be run.
the water 'peeing' from the back is from the tell tail pipe. this is purely an indicatin of water circulation, and is not your actual water outlet. yuor cooling water leaves the engine via the exhaust system, either thru prop or through an exhaust port in the lower leg, which is usually under water for silencing. if your itake is only partially submerged, it is likely that it is enough for water to show from this tell tail, but that does not mean enough water is circulating the engine. so find that intake and make sure it is submerged.

I am a new boater, this is my second year on my boat, it is a 19′ 1987 Bayliner Capri Cuddy. I boought a starter motor through a parts store manager I know. Unforunately, I do not know how to put it in myself. It is docked right next to a marina/parts store in Port Clinton on Lake Erie. Is it possible for me to just call and ask if someone can come next door to the dock and put it in for a fee? How much will they charge for something like that?
I agree with Jim, but any mechanic can handle this job. Ask around the marina where you are, and I’d bet there a “guy” that does this kind of work. You should have a 4 cylinder OMC. in that boat so it should take no more than 1/2 hour to do, so figure $60 to $75 . If you happen to have the opt. V-8 it’s much harder, because of space but it should be no more than $150. Also, have your old starter rebuilt, it’s worth a lot more than you think. Make sure that the starter you have is “sealed”, most of the time this means sealing where the electrical terminals are and the end cover plates. Good Luck!!!

I live in Baltimore and the prettiest part of Baltimore is the Inner Harbor, it's so pretty, we have waterfront resturants, and you can sit and see the boats, and you can even dock your boat and walk in the resturants its lovely, but there are so many beautiful things about Baltimore
My town is ok..but if u go south to Galveston its much prettier out there. Except the water lmao

We share a boat dock with our neighbor and we have the largest part of the beach but he wants more. His reason is this… because his property line is on an agle with ours, once our 40' boat dock is in position our boat is on his land (that's if the lake dried up - depending how far out ones property line would go if such a thing would happen). However to get to the dock he has to go on our beach. Does the property line stop at the water??? OR does our line continue out into the water, meaning that our boat would be on his land because of the angle of the propery lines?
This is very difficult to explain without a diagram but I will try to ask the question anyway.
Thank you very much for any input.
I believe that your property ends at the waters edge.. reason being is that all waterways belong to the federal government.. and I am sure that includes the land beneath it.. I suggest that you contact the nearest office of the Corp of Engineers.. they should be able to give you the answer you are seeking and if not then they most likely can direct you to the correct authorities.. I also believe that even if it is a private lake.. the federal laws still apply.. good luck..
